Toby and I board the special 30th Anniversary Cruise for RSVP Vacations... celebrating 30 years of LGTB vacations and cruises.
Wake up to another warm day in Seattle, walk over to Safeway to get some items, breakfast snacks and two bottles of wine (Nobilo) and Advil.
We had time to kill in the morning before the cruise departure in the afternoon, we walk over to Seattle Center to check out the fountain and the EMP.
Diana picked us up at 12:15 pm to bring us to Pier 91 where the cruise ship departed. There were other couples also going on the same cruise from our hotel. Also a Princess cruise departing from the same pier.
They're were a lot of queens lined up ready for the cruise, the terminal seemed well organized with the baggage transfer and boarding process.
We were on the boat by 1:30 and promptly went to our room on the fifth floor or the Veranda level. Our balcony faced the pier (the starboard side).
While the ship was still in the pier we got our name badges ready for the first event... "Hello my name is ... " party. We met a few people, but just overwhelmed by the amount of people. It was very warm outside on the top deck.
Around 4pm the Princess cruise ship Crown Princess left dock first, soon our ship left port. There were three cruise ships lined up heading to Alaska.
We went back to the room to get ready for dinner. We went to the Vista Dining Room. I ordered the French onion soup and Salmon special, Toby ordered chowder and strip steak.
That evening we headed to the Vista Lounge for the Leslie Jordan show. He's the southern gay comedian known for his role on Will and Grace.
After the show as we departed we finally ran into Petey and Tony and their friends.
That evening was the first dance event, the 30th anniversary party. Fun time dancing.
We had a late night bite and the Lido buffet, I had pizza.
