We take a day off in the middle of the week to hit the ski slopes of Dodge Ridge at Pinecrest up in the Sierra's .
We leave at 6:30am (and arrive back home at 6:30pm). The recent rains increased the chance for some decent snow, however the storm was a relatively warm storm and the snow fell only on the higher elevations. We drove up to the resort and there was hardly any snow. The lower beginning slopes were closed. The upper slopes were the only runs open. It was Spring ski conditions (although cloudy) with temps in the low 50s. After lunch the snow was slushy which really slows you down!
We purchased our lift tickets and ski rentals there. We both had 160 skis.
We skied froma round 10:30am to a little past 3pm with a lunch break in the cafeteria (hamburgers.. yum!). By 3:30pm we were back on the road heading back home. It was fun to hit the slopes this season for at least one time.
