Ski Dodge Ridge

On a Monday, Toby and I take the day off from work and do a day ski trip to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort in Pinecrest, California.

We departed early Monday and head out on a frigid morning toward the mountains. We make one stop for breakfast at McDonald's in Livermore. We forgot our chains but luckily we didn't need them. Once we arrived at ther ski resort we were shocked by no people. We parked right in front of the resort.

We rented our equipment and helmet and were on the slopes. It's been a while since we've skiied but it all came quickly back once we headed down our first run. We really like the Graceland run at the back side of Dodge Ridge, a long wide blue run. We did that run numerous times. We stopped for lunch at around 2pm followed by a few runs.

During the last run down on Lower Stagecoach my feet started to cramp and I felt I didn't have control anymore. So that was time to call it a day, we returned our equipment and we were on the road at 4pm heading home. Since it's opposite commute traffic we were home in exactly 3 hours. It was a perfect ski day.
